Ballet Instructor


Jasmine Ponty was born and raised on the island of O’ahu and first started dancing at the age of 4. She has trained in several dance genres including: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip-hop, Hula, and Contemporary with Ballet/pointe as one of her main focuses. 

She has danced with Pas De Deux Hawaii since its grand opening in 2010 and was a mentor for ballet, jazz, hula, and hip-hop. In 2017, she joined the Senior Ballet and Jazz company. During that year, she also started to teach Pre-Jazz, Beginning Jazz, and Mini Jazz and soon gained experience in choreographing solo pieces.

At the end of 2018, she started to pursue her Bachelors of Science for mechanical engineering at Arizona State university and then transferred to the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2021. Now she is teaching again at Pas De Deux Hawaii in the ballet department and is excited to be teaching young dancers.
