Ballet Instructor

Carolyn grew up in Houston, Texas where she began dancing at the age of nine under the direction of Renee Bailey.  She has been trained in classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, tap, and ballroom.

Growing up she had opportunities to compete at dance competitions in the Houston area, perform at various venues, and train at summer dance intensives including the Ballet West Summer Conservatory. In college, Carolyn performed with Brigham Young University Theatre Ballet, touring the west coast, and dancing in the American College Dance Festival. During this time, she also performed with DancEnsemble, worked on faculty and student projects, and taught and accompanied ballet classes.

Combining her love of media and dance, she filmed, directed, and edited a variety of dance and film/technology projects, graduating with dual BA degrees in Dance: Ballet Emphasis and Media Art Studies.

Carolyn has been blessed to share her love of dance and passion for the arts by teaching students across the mainland in Texas, Utah, and Minnesota.  She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Pas De Deux ohana.
