Musical Theatre Vocal Director


Raul Morales started his professional singing career at the age of 10 when he joined the internationally acclaimed All American Boys Chorus. He then went on to join The Young Americans credited with being the first show choir in America, mixing choreography with choral singing. Classical music also piqued his interest in high school which led to entering several classical vocal competitions. Raul received several awards and won 1st place at the Opera Pacific and Young Singer of the Year competition his senior year. His dedication to his craft was noticed by the head of the music department at Chapman University, Dr. William Hall, who offered Raul a full music scholarship to join the opera program.

Working as a professional singer offered Raul the opportunity to travel all over the world. For a few years Raul worked on Royal Caribbean and Renaissance Cruise Lines as the lead singer in the main stage production shows. He was part of several regional productions including: La Cage Aux Folles, West Side Story, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, South Pacific, Evita, Miss Saigon, and Flower Drum Song. Raul was also part of the original cast of Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular.

Throughout his career Raul has studied classical, musical theater, and pop with Billy Purnell, Maurice Allard, Peter Atherton, and Rachael Lawrence. Raul's last vocal coach was Guy Babusek who was a student of the legendary voice teacher to the stars and originator of Speech Level Singing, Seth Riggs, who has worked with performers such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and Barbra Streisand.

Raul has devoted over 30 years of his life to perfecting his craft and is excited to share everything he has learned along the way. His mission with all his students is to make them feel more confident in their craft and to be well prepared to achieve success in the entertainment industry if they wish to pursue that.
